Submit Pathway Data

Submitting pathways to PharmGKB can be broken down into these five steps:

1. The submitter sends the following three preliminary pathway documents to submission@pharmgkb.org:
   • A sketch or slides of the pathway.
   • A completed Pathway Evidence Excel template with references.
   • A text file containing a legend and description that walks the reader through the pathway.
2. A PharmGKB curator will assist the submitter in formatting and standardizing the information so that it is consistent with other pathways on PharmGKB. PharmGKB will draw the submitted pathway in Illustrator using the standard PharmGKB graphics and symbols.
3. PharmGKB will send the formatted pathway drawing and information to the submitter for approval.
4. After the submitter agrees to the content of the pathway, PharmGKB posts the pathway on the public PharmGKB website.
5. The pathway is reviewed every 2 years to keep information up to date.
